In 2026, we proudly open our new campus in Wynyard to support young people on the North West Coast with positive relationships, flexible learning, and unconditional support. This is an exciting time in the history of St Francis Flexible School. We look forward to supporting Young People on their school journey. A lot of time is being spent developing our site and finding the right staff, so that it is ready to provide great experiences for young people in 2026.
We welcome enrolment enquiries from young people Grades 7 to 12 who have found it difficult at mainstream schools. This could include regularly being suspended or expelled; low attendance; or having mental health concerns or neurodiversity that makes school tricky.
The Campus is located in Wynard; however, the school offers free transport to and from school for any young person who wants to use it. We are currently exploring our bus routes and set stops in these areas:
• Penguin
• Burnie and surrounding suburbs
• Somerset/Yolla
• Wynyard
• Boat Harbour
• Stanley (Bass Highway turn off)
• Smithton
Our enrolment process will help inform our decision making before we finalise our routes. Once we have decided on our routes, we will regularly review them according to need.
